i don't want to hear it.

I can't stand getting advice. Even when I ask for it. How weird is that? I just want people to commiserate with me. No one does though. Strangely enough, no one likes to hear someone else complain. (Novel concept.) This leaves me feeling even more frustrated and upset than before.

So, what do I do about it? I don't know, but I definitely don't want you to tell me.

That's a girl thing. When a girl (woman) complains, unless she specifically says she wants you to HELP her, or make suggestions, she really means she wants you to make soothing, sympathetic noises and phrases.

Not that I'm calling YOU a girl. I just understand where you are coming from, because I'm a girl.

I won't tell you what to do about it, because there's nothing you CAN do.

Well gee there Martha, I know that time of the month is difficult for you, but do you think you could pop a happy pill and we could forget all about this because I re-he-he-he-eeeally don't have the time for another woman in my life!

Thought maybe that would make you feel better. :)
